MINNEAPOLIS, October 26, 2023 (Newswire.com) - TruChoice Financial Group, LLC (TruChoice), one of the largest distributors of insurance products in the financial services industry, held its third annual TruEngagement 5K on October 6th to benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation. The virtual run was part of TruChoice’s ongoing commitment to community involvement.
To participate in the virtual event, employees received the afternoon off to complete the run/walk, and 60 participants raised $3,000 for the Gary Sinise Foundation, the organization selected to receive this year’s funds by an employee vote. “Many of our employees already volunteer in their local communities, and it’s exciting for us to be able to give them an opportunity to do that along with their fellow employees, even while spread across the country. We’re proud not only to be part of a company committed to encouraging community involvement but to have so many employees eager to serve their communities,” said Casey Long, senior culture and engagement specialist at TruChoice, and chairperson of TruChoice’s TruEngagement Employee Committee.
TruChoice’s TruEngagement Employee Committee was formed in 2021, in part to help coordinate employees’ efforts to give back to their communities. On September 11th, TruChoice’s Minneapolis office also participated in the 2023 9/11 Day Meal Pack Program, joining more than 600 others in the Twin Cities to help pack 263,232 meals for those in need.
