BRENTWOOD, Tenn., June 6, 2024 (Newswire.com) - Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, a leading provider of mental health, addiction, and eating disorder treatment, is proud to announce Lifeskills South Florida’s expansion of mental health and addiction treatment services into Central Florida. The Orlando location will provide residential and outpatient services that specialize in treating adults with complex psychiatric and substance use disorders. Transitional living homes will also provide additional stability and support for those engaged in outpatient programming as part of their full continuum of care.
According to recent data from the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the Kaiser Family Foundation in Florida:
- Over 15% of Florida adults have a mental health condition, and 32% reported symptoms of anxiety or depression disorders.
- 648,000 adults in Florida have a serious mental health condition.
- Florida outpaces the U.S. in drug overdose deaths.
“We’ve seen the complexity of our clients’ symptoms continue to increase nationwide over the last few years,” said Richard Clark, CEO of Odyssey. “Lifeskills is uniquely equipped to treat more clinically complex clients at a sub-acute level of care, and we’re proud to offer these services through one of the industry’s most well-respected treatment centers to help more individuals in need.”
The Orlando facility was previously part of the Pasadena Villa Psychiatric Treatment Network. As part of this strategic realignment of services, Pasadena Villa will continue to provide residential mental health treatment for adults in their Tennessee locations and expand into new markets later this year.
