The Super Mario Bros. Movie poster invites Nintendo’s classic characters to Rainbow Road to play Mario Kart!
The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be bringing the beloved Nintendo franchise to theaters in April. Chris Pratt will be playing Mario’s voice! Multiple trailers have already teased the animated adventure from Nintendo, Illumination. A new poster for the film has been released to announce the release date.
The Super Mario Bros. movie poster shows Mario (Chris Pratt), Peach, Anya Taylor-Joy), Donkey Kong(Seth Rogen), Toad [Kegan-Michael Key], and Cranky Kong (19 Fred Armisen) driving along Rainbow Road, while avoiding Bobombs and Spiney Shells. The poster shows each character driving a vehicle from the highly-acclaimed Mario Kart videogame franchise. There are floating islands and stars hanging in the sky. The poster is another example of how far Nintendo and Illumination are willing to go to make the Super Mario Bros. Movie a colorful romp through the Mushroom Kingdom.
The new trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be revealed during a Nintendo Direct scheduled for March 9 at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET.

, Nintendo is munching on Super Mushrooms and growing its brand in the film industry. In July 2022, Nintendo purchased Dynamo Pictures to create a CG animation company called Nintendo Pictures. The studio plans on adapting more Nintendo IPs. The studio has not yet revealed what properties it plans to adapt.
