Jude Law (Captain Marvel) and Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) have signed on to star in the true crime domestic terrorism thriller The Order, which is set to be directed by Justin Kurzel (Nitram) from a screenplay written by Zach Baylin, the Oscar-nominated writer of King Richard. Baylin’s script is inspired by The Silent Brotherhoodby Gary Gerhardt.
The Silent Brotherhood is about the increasing crimes of the white supremist domestic terrorist group. The Orderhas the following synopsis. In 1983 a series of increasingly violent bank Robberies, counterfeiting operations, and armored car thefts terrorized communities across the Pacific Northwest. The Order
will be filming in Alberta, Canada, starting in May. Deadline reports that AGC Studios is financing The Ord and will present the project to potential distributors at this month’s European Film Market. Bryan Haas from Chasing Epic Pictures, and Jude Law’s Riff Raff Entertainment are producing with AGC. Ford, Law, and Haas are the producers. Baylin and Kurzel serve as executive producers for Riff Raff Entertainment’s Ben Jackson, Stephen Fuss and Kate Susman, Jeremy Saulnier, Zach Garrett, and Zach Garrett of AGC Studios.I am not familiar with The Silent Brotherhood’s actions, but
The Ord seems like it could make a good thriller. Law and Hoult are reliable actors. This one also has solid talent behind it. I was sold when I discovered that Jeremy Saulnier was one of the producers. Since Murder Partie10, I have followed Saulnier’s career as a director. He has also produced Blue Ruin and Hold the Dark episodes. Are you interested in The Ord? Leave a comment below to let us know your interest in The Order.
