The Netflix show Sweet Tooth, based on the DC Vertigo comic book, is expanding its number of series regulars for season 2

A year and a half has gone by since we heard that Netflix had ordered a second season of the series Sweet Tooth, which is an adaptation of the DC Vertigo comic book that ran from 2009 to 2013 for a total of 40 issues. Deadline has a new update on Sweet Tothseason 2. Deadline reports that cast members Naledi Murphy (The Undoing) and Neil Sandilands (The flash) have been promoted to series regulars in season 2. Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. (Circle Of Sisters Expo) and Yonas Kibreab (Blood Moon) have also joined the cast as new series regulars.Deadline notes that Murray portrays Wendy, Sandilands is General Abbot, Williams plays Johnny Abbot, Cooper will play Teddy Turtle, and Kibreab will portray Finn Fox.Created by Jeff Lemire,

As a deadly new wave of the Sick bears down, Gus (Convery) and a band of fellow hybrids are held prisoner by General Abbot (Sandilands) and the Last Men. Abbot is determined to consolidate power and find a cure. He uses the children to feed Dr. Aditya Sing (Akhtar), who is racing to save Rani (Vellani). Gus agrees that Dr. Singh will be helped by him to protect his friends. This begins a dark journey into Gus’s past and the role of his mother Birdie (Amy Seimetz), in the events that led to The Great Crumble. Aimee Eden Ramirez (Nonso Anozie), and Tommy Jepperd, Tommy Jepperd, work together to free the hybrids. Their partnership will be tested as Jepperd’s secrets are revealed.
