The Screen Actors Guild Awards are typically seen as one of the most accurate predictors of the Academy Awards, as actors make up more than 15% of the voting Academy members. Many of the SAG winners go on as Oscar winners. This would make Jamie Lee Curtis, Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan the technical frontrunners for their respective categories. Quan has been a lock all awards season, while Fraser may still face some competition from Austin Butler (
Elvis
)-and certainly he’d rather have an Oscar than a hood ornament. Yeoh and Curtis were the more surprising wins of the evening, as Cate Blanchett (

Tar) and Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) were considered shoe-ins for the Oscar. On the other hand, the Best Ensemble award doesn’t necessarily correlate with the Best Picture winner. Only half of the SAG winners have won the Oscar since 2010. The percentage of SAG winners who went on to win the Oscar is now at half. Everything Everywhere All At Once is the odds on favorite to win Best Picture.
