Ghostface makes a bloody return with Scream VI, so let us know what you thought of the latest installment of the horror franchise.
Ghostface is back, and this time, they’re taking their rampage to New York City. Scream VI10 is now in theaters. It looks like another strong installment of the long-running franchise. The sequel took in $5.7 million in Thursday night previews and is expected to open to $35-40 million, which would be a franchise high.
Following the latest Ghostface killings, Scream VI finds the four survivors leaving Woodsboro behind and starting a fresh chapter. Melissa Barrera plays Sam Carpenter with Jenna Ortega playing Tara Carpenter, Jasmin Svoy Brown as Mindy Meeks Martin, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks Martin, and Courteney cox as Gale Weathers. Hayden Panettiere returns to Scream 4 as Kirby Reed. The sequel will feature Jack Champion, Henry Czerny and Liana Liberato as well as Devyn Mulroney and Tony Mulroney. Samara Weaving is also returning to the role of Kirby Reed. Scream directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett return to helm the sequel from a script written by James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick.
Our JimmyO was a big fan of Scream Vi1010 and called it the best sequel to 101010. “ScreamVI10 is a huge surprise. It’s scary, tense, and entertaining. JimmyO wrote that he enjoyed interacting with the new players. “The filmmakers have done a great job taking over from Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven. It’s great to see the meta-slasher series flourish once again. You will thoroughly enjoy the newest installment if you are a Scream fan. Although the kills aren’t spectacular, you’ll see Ghostface do some serious damage. This is the most brutal episode in the series. They take STAB to a whole other level this time. Yes, New York, New York is a great replacement for the quaint and deadly Woodsboro.
