John Stamos reveals he had the Olsen Twins fired from Full House before they were even a year old, but wanted them back after a few days.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen joined the cast of Full House when they were less than a year old, but the twins’ behaviour led to star John Stamos demanding they be fired. Stamos, you’re being a bit harsh. The actor spoke about a scene in which his character and Dave Coulier’s character were required to change Michelle’s diaper. “
We are doing the scene. Joey and I changed the baby, correct? Danny has gone and told us to take care of the children. We got it,'[Bob Saget]” Stamos said. “So we’re carrying her downstairs and we take her to the kitchen and we wash her down. She was screaming. They both wanted to be somewhere else. Both of us wanted to be somewhere else. “They had been 11 months old and God bless them. They kept switching, saying ‘This one won’t cry’. I couldn’t handle it. I screamed, “This isn’t going to work,” and I repeated it 10 times. Stamos said: “I said, ‘Get them out, I can’t do this.'” “And they got rid them. They brought on these two redheaded children… I’m certain their parents loved them, and thought they were beautiful… It had nothing
to do with redheadedness, but they were not attractive. “The Olsen Twins absence from the Fullhouse set lasted only a few weeks before Stamos requested that they be returned. The Olsen Twins are likely the only people who have been fired and then rehired prior to their first birthday. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen went on to play Michelle Tanner for all eight seasons of [them being]Full House, but they didn’t return for the Netflix sequel series Fuller House.Related
